Avions

To visit the islands, the airplane is the fastest and most practical way to go. The domestic company, Air Calédonie, operates on the Isle of Pines, the Loyalty Islands (Maré, Lifou, and Ouvéa) and the Main Island (Koné, Koumac and Touho).
There are different flight colors corresponding to the different flight times= (red, blue, green or orange flights)

¤ One-way tickets to the Loyalty Islands:

- Nouméa/Lifou, Maré or Ouvéa

> red flight : 10,475 XPF
> blue or green flight: 9,700 XPF
> orange flight: 8,535 XPF

¤ One-way tickets to the Isle of Pines:
- - Nouméa/Isle of pines

> red flight: 7,065 XPF
> blue or green flight: 6,540 XPF
> orange flight: 5,755 XPF

¤ One-way ticket on the Main Island :
- Nouméa/Koné : 10,735 XPF
- Nouméa/Koumac : 11,965 XPF
- Nouméa/Touho : 10,735 XPF
- Day trip to the Isle of Pines (round trip during the day) : 15,160 XPF

You need to add the taxes for each flight coupon emitted, per person and for all destinations:
- Adults and children: 1,200 XPF for a one-way ticket, or 2,400 XPF for a round-trip ticket
- For infants under the age of 2: 350 XPF

¤ Bagage allowances:  
- 10 kg per adult and 5 kg for children between the ages of 2 and 11
- 20 kg per adult and10 kg for children if they have a PASS

¤ Conditions for the application of a PASS
- You cannot be a resident in the Territory
- You cannot stay longer than 3 months
- The PASS is the equivalent of 4 flight segments, you must pay 100% of the price before your first departure
- The PASS per person costs: 31,700 XPF all taxes included
- An extra flight coupon costs: 6,800 XPF all taxes included
- Child rate: under the age of 12 (half price )
There are no PASSES for infants, but 10% of the total will be added to the bill.

 

Boats

You may also travel by boat and take the Bético. The rotations are less frequent and the journey is longer. The Bético goes to the Isle of Pines three times per week (Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) and goes to the Loyalty Islands the other days.

¤ Nouméa/Loyalty Islands one-way ticket:

¤ Between the Loyalty Islands:

> 3,690 XPF/adult
> 2,070/child
> 870/infant

¤ Day trip Nouméa/Isle of pines/Nouméa:

> 9,050 XPF/adult
> 4,650/child
> 2,080/infant
